Federico Joselevich Puiggrós and Omar Panosetti won the first prize on the contest EcoArteUrbano for the category Consecrated Artists, with the work Station 96. They’ll do a performance/installation in the tunnel under the Yrigoyen station of the Roca railroad in Barracas, Buenos Aires. Realizarán una performance/instalación en el túnel debajo de la estación Yrigoyen del ferrocarril Roca en el barrio de Barracas, ciudad de Buenos Aires, a fines de febrero 2013.

Honor Prize at the second Kosice bienale of Art and Technology

Sinopsis:
The installation talks about the relationship between the human and the sea, taking as a startup point the hypothetic moment when the humans chooses to live in the hydrospacial cities (a concept from Kosice). It talks in a metaphoric way the situation of the human against the absence of the sea, and the nostalgic feelings and expectations about it. The visitor finds her/him self in front of a fish tank with blue water and oil, with a big button that can be touched. If the visitor touches the botton a flow of wind goes through some sea shells and the sound made by them is translated as burbles inside the fish tank. The sound is amplified in the room to connect the visitor with the sea.

Sizes:
2 pieces, one 80cm x 160cm x 30cm y other de 30cm x 30cm x 120cm de alto.

Formato:

Electronic interactive installation.

Materials:
Acrylic, glass, water, oil, wood, electronics and metal.

Electronic devices:
Arduino, integrated circuits, piezoelectric sensors, sound system.

Saudade do Mar won a mention at Kosice bienale.

The Kosice bienale, granted Saudade do Mar with an honor mention on the contest Hydrospace Cities. The installation will be displayed at Buenos Aires’s Planetarium from september 6th to 30th, 2012. Saudade do Mar is an installation by Federico Joselevich Puiggrós and Julia Vallejo Puszkin.

When I count 8, a frame is captured and placed at the end of the loop. There’s a table, there’s a cenital camera, there are three people working on the stop motion and three musicians playing their role.
